The quality products are almost finished in the market therefore the business activity on figs is getting slower day by day. The last shipments of the pending contracts are getting shipped these days. Most of the factories are closed for the new season preparations.

There is a very limited stock left for small size figs which are suitable for dicing in our stocks and we suggest our customers who use diced figs to cover up their final needs as the product will be finished in the market very soon.

We will start offering new crop figs during August 2011 as usual. The new crop fruits are developing nicely at the moment. We will follow the developments during July - August months and keep our customers posted on a regular basis.

Please find below the table including the export figures of figs in comparison with last season. As you can see that 33.012 mtons have been exported till 11.06.2011.The total quantity of diced figs, clipped figs, fig paste, etc... is around 7.500 mtons so totally 40.500 mtons of figs has been exported so far. In addition to this info, there is approximately 20.000 mtons of figs consumed in Turkish local market so far.
